Antique villa built in the XVI century by Carlo Lodovico de’ Piccolomini: it has been expertly restored to its original beauty, keeping intact the fascination and the atmosphere of a past rich of memories. Located on the natural bastion which closes the Valdichiana from south, the structure is immersed in the peace of a secular park: a box hedge labyrinth winds among the rigorous cypresses and the high cedars forming the typical Italian garden. Numerous facilities - among which a panoramic swimming pool, tennis courts, reading and meeting rooms - give our guests all the comforts of an unforgettable and exclusive holiday.
In the lovely chapel annexed to the villa, it is possible to celebrate intimate ceremonies and the charming landscape of the mansion’s park is the ideal place for refined banquets. The residence of Macciangrosso is built on two levels and it is composed by seven apartments with accommodation ranging from two to ten people, and six elegantly furnished double-rooms.  
Set apart from the main structure, for guests preferring further privacy, in the Chiesone there are elegant apartments with private garden and parking.
All the apartments offer a marvellous view on the charming surrounding valleys, have central heating and green space in front of each entrance. Macciangrosso is located close to several artistic historic centres: the Etruscan city of Chiusi at 7 Km, the renaissance-built Montepulciano at 18 Km, Pienza at 25 Km, then Montalcino, Bagno Vignoni, Cetona… Macciano is just a bit more than an hour drive from Florence, Rome, Perugia and Assisi. Chianciano Terme, a well known spa resort, at only 6 Km, gives guests the added attraction of taking a “water cure”.
